This fabulous wedding you’re looking at was a recent wedding of ours at Lowndes Grove for which the uplighting was amazing! We custom mixed the pink gel lights to the bride and wedding planner, Southern Protocol‘s, specifications. It was a perfect tone to show off the flowers and match to bridesmaid gowns without drowning out the carefully selected shades of the entire wedding. What a great party it was! We told you about them in a previous update; they had that fabulous wedding at a private home on Sullivan’s Island. We were pleased to be the wedding lighting provider for their happy day! Revisiting this night was magical for all of us! Great couple, great wedding vendor partners, and perfect weather to pull it all together. Beautiful Charleston Wedding Lighting at a Sullivan’s Island Home

As our regular readers know, AV Connections is the preferred and trusted wedding lighting design firm and rental supplier throughout Charleston and the low country of South Carolina. While we can regularly be found creating incredible lighting in all of Charleston’s wedding rental venues, we also happily provide lighting and audio in private residences for weddings, celebrations, and events.

Last week, we were pleased to create a little evening twinkle and romance with a fabulous wedding lighting design we created for a private home which was the site of a gorgeous Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina wedding.

Our team had perfect weather for their set up work on the outdoor lighting which consisted of long stands of cafe bulbs and up-lighting.

We cannot wait to see the wedding photos! What a beautiful home and location for a Charleston wedding! It was our pleasure to provide the wedding lighting to this fine family for this happy celebration at their home. Congratulations and best wishes to all!

The new Charleston Weddings Magazine hit newsstands this week and for the second edition in a row, AV Connections has a great wedding featured for our Charleston wedding lighting work. See the eight page spread on Throwback Style for gorgeous Sarah’s wedding at Legare-Waring House in Charleston. We were teamed up with a handful of great vendor partners to make the wedding amazing: Southern Protocol on event planning and design, Charleston Stems on florals, Paige Winn Photo for the images.

Outdoor Movie Screen Rentals and Projection for the Hanahan Ampitheatre Soft Opening

We provided the huge outdoor movie screen rentals and staging for the soft opening of the beautiful new Hanahan Amphitheatre Opening in Hanahan, South Carolina. What a great new large venue this community has for hosting community movies and events under the stars in the great outdoors!

We were so honored to be the audio visual rentals and staging provider for this incredible event. We provided the outdoor movie screen rentals for this great event. The first of many movies for the people of Hanahan were shown on an AV Connections screen and we couldn’t be more pleased.

We had perfect weather for this soft opening event at the Amphitheatre. We brought with us:

HD wide screen format 24×13 ft rear projection screen (which we mounted from top of ampitheatre)

Barco 10,000 lumens HD projector

There was a great ceremony by Hanahan city officials to open the park venue and then the ribbon was cut.

Once the ceremony was completed and darkness fell on the park, we projected the movie Hunger Games for the crowd as the first outdoor movie shown in this venue.

We wish the City of Hanahan, South Carolina great congratulations on completing this huge and wonderful undertaking for the betterment of their community! We were so proud to be your audio visual provider!
AV Connections audio visual rentals in New Orleans, Louisiana

We traveled to fabulous and exciting New Orleans, Louisana this week to provide audio rentals and video equipment at the Loew’s New Orleans Hotel and Conference Center (just a small part of our client and partner services across the southern United States). Our team, along with our branch team members from our home office, Visual Aids Electronics of North Carolina Inc., were pleased to partner with another audio visual staging company to be a part of exciting conference staging at the Loew’s New Orleans. Our group was able to snap a few shots of the beautiful city of New Orleans during their travels to share with you.

Our group arrived to unload our client’s audio rentals and video setups in the middle of the night (just part of the job). Our gentlemen unloaded in the rear bays of the conference center for the client to be ready to to go first thing in the morning. The quieter hours of the middle of the night are also the easiest time to maneuver trucks through the usually busy and heavily trafficked city streets downtown.

As you can see from the trucks, we provided a great deal of equipment to this client. Some (but not all) of the audio visual rental equipment that made the trip to the conference was:

After two long days of exhaustive travel, set up, and tear down to provide the best audio visual customer service in the nation, our team was able to get a little well-deserved rest.

On a side note, if you are headed to NOLA here are a few things we love about New Orleans which are not to be missed if you go to the Queen City:

A quiet coffee and beignet at Cafe du Monde.

A morning walk through the French Quarter or Garden District.

A visit to Jackson Square and the Cabildo.

An hour (if you can tear yourself away) in The Presbytere with the amazing cultural artifacts of generations of Mardi Gras celebrations.
